Youth Ministry at SJB includes spiritual, social, and athletic programs for Middle School and High School Youth, Faith Formation for sixth through eighth grade,
and Sacramental Preparation for Confirmation.

For High School Youth—Every Sunday, from 6 – 8 p.m., following the 5 p.m. liturgy, high school students from around the area come together at St. John’s.
The meetings are generally organized around a theme/activity and are social
as well as spiritual. Other high school Youth Group activities include retreats,
trips downtown to museums, fireworks and ice skating, cookouts and service projects. Anyone interested in joining our energetic and diverse group of teens should contact the Parish Office.

For Middle School Youth—SJB offers Faith Formation classes for grades 6-8, which includes Confirmation Preparation for those in eighth grade. SJB also hosts dances for seventh and eighth graders, as well as socials, movie nights, service trips, and other events designed to build community.

Sacramental Preparation for Confirmation-SJB offers a 2 year program for Confirmation preparation. Students enter the seventh grade for the first year, and complete the preparation process at the end of eigth grade.

Youth Ministry Volunteer

Assist with various activities of the Youth Ministry Program, such as service trips, social events and other group activities for which adult chaperones are needed. Must be over 18 years old. Virtus training is required, but can be completed through SJB.

Brownies

SJB hosts Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. If you would be willing to serve as a Den Leader, Pack Leader, or other Scout volunteer, we are always looking for more assistance. Virtus training is required, but can be completed through SJB.

Junior Girl Scouts
